Washington takes drivers to task on auto accidents
Car collisions can cause a number of headaches for drivers – from understanding the medical and damage repair coverage included in a car insurance plan to working out details with other collision participants’ insurance companies.
In an effort to draw awareness to road safety and the very serious nature of car crashes, Washington has deemed May 21 statewide Drive Nice Day.
This effort to curb car collisions and encourage safe driving challenges those behind the wheel to operate cautiously and keep May 21 collision-free.
“Drive Nice Day is a terrific reminder that a little courtesy behind the wheel can make driving safer and more enjoyable for everyone on the road,” said Liz Luce, director of the Washington Department of Licensing. “Nice driving is safe driving.”
Drivers that avoid collisions are typically rewarded not only with their own health and safety, but with the potential for better rates on car insurance. Those involved in accidents are likely to see a rate hike from their insurance companies.
